The thing that absolutely can save you a TON of stress is to always always always prepare for the worst. If you always have a plan B (and maybe even a plan C) then disasters will not be so disastrous. For example, you have a beach wedding planned, a gorgeous ceremony out on the sand, a beautiful arch decorated with tulle ribbons in your wedding colors, flower petals along the sides of the aisle… you have a gorgeous vision in your head. But you wake up that morning and the skies are dark and the rain is falling from the sky. Do you feel it’s the end of the world, fretting about the tulle that will be drooping over the arch and the guests that will be soaking wet, the wind that will be whipping those pretty petals all down the beach, your beautiful hairdo ruined in the deluge of rain… no, you don’t fret for a minute because you have a plan B. You have already planned an elegant indoor spot for your ceremony, a “just in case” spot so everyone can be nice and dry and your ceremony can go off without a hitch. Good planning makes a great wedding. One location you can research is some of the local inns. They often offer facilities that look out onto the ocean, so you could have a view without the rain. They are sometimes used for business meetings and hotels are often happy to set them up for use as a ceremony venue for you.
